Set to hit dealerships this spring, the 458 Italia is a ground-breaking car, delivering hypercar levels of performance at the entry-point in the range. It’s so good as to make the V12 cars seem redundant. Opt for the Spider version (pictured) if you’re after open-air acoustics – the 4.5-litre V8 engine packs a meaty soundtrack. It’s fast, with a 3.4 second 0-100km/h (0-62mph) time, meaning even the hardest-charging supercar driver will have to try very hard indeed to shake the Ferrari off.
Oh, and the price? Don’t expect too much changeout of £200k…
